Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy is being finalized with legal counsel. The summary below describes our current data practices in plain language. A complete, final version will be posted here before public launch. Questions in the meantime? Email info@charityteams.com.
What we collect
When you apply for a charity bib, we collect the information you provide: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, running background, fundraising commitment, and, if you accept a spot, onboarding details such as your singlet size, emergency contact, and event preferences.
How we use it
We use your information to process your application, share it with the nonprofit you applied to, coordinate your race entry and fundraising, and communicate with you about your participation. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Your application is shared with the specific nonprofit you applied to, and only that nonprofit. If you accept a spot and set up fundraising, relevant details are shared with GivenGain, the official fundraising platform, to create and track your fundraising page. We use trusted service providers (such as our hosting and database providers) to operate the platform.
How it's protected
Access is restricted so each nonprofit can see only its own applicants. Data is stored with a reputable cloud database provider using row-level access controls.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any records we're required to keep. To make a request, email info@charityteams.com.
International runners
If you apply from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States. Additional rights and terms that apply to international applicants will be detailed in the final policy and in the terms presented during your application.
