THE SUSAN HURLEY FUND

The Susan Hurley Fund was established in 2026 to honor and celebrate CharityTeams Founder, Susan Hurley.

A former New England Patriots cheerleader turned champion for charity runners, Susan founded CharityTeams in 2008 to help nonprofits use athletic events to raise funds and build community. Through her guidance, teams raised tens of millions of dollars, and thousands of first-time marathoners found the courage to run and fundraise.

Susan was the brightest of lights and built the CharityTeams community so that no one would chase a big goal alone. She believed in "fun-raising," in Saturday long runs dressed as superheroes, and in the "Boylston Street moment" when belief becomes real. She taught us that when you cross a finish line, it's actually the starting line - for the next act of courage, the next kindness, and the next person you'll uplift. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Inspired by Susan's boundless energy and encouragement of others, the Fund's mission is to support initiatives that cultivate connection, inspire personal growth, and uplift communities through positivity, support, and shared purpose.

The Susan Hurley Fund is committed to thoughtfully stewarding all contributions and will share updates on the initiatives, programs, and opportunities supported by the fund. In doing so, we hope to reflect the generosity, optimism, and sense of connection that Susan inspired in so many.
